PPC Records presents Pete and the Tar Gang


Please welcome to the PPC Records stage, Pete and the Tar Gang, a band of piratical travellers, who tell their many tales of far flung lands through enchanting and poetic song.  
They have been sharing rum soaked tales from velvet curtained stages around Melbourne for well on two years now, delighting audiences at many a festival along the way. Most recently the sea-sprayed troupe launched their debut album, Songs of the Hollow Bone Moon at the Melbourne Fringe Festival to great success. 
Described as a ramshackle musical radio play concept album, Pete and the Tar Gang's, Songs of the Hollow Bone Moon incorporates influences as varied as Kurt Veil and 1920's cabaret, Delta blues, experimental, traditional folk, classical and Captain Beefheart.
